We Made It!
Not sure why it feels so exciting. Two days free… lets pack as much into these days as as possible. And though I know the cycle by rote, come Sunday, I’ll be found bemoaning what lies ahead… Monday – Sigh! When did this become the norm? A great man once said, “when you do what you love, you’ll never have to take a vacation.” I want that kind of life and it even sounds really amazing… but the sticky point for me is always the “how”.
I learned recently that patience & passion come from the same root word patiens. Which means to suffer. If patience means to suffer. Could finding my passion really mean finding that for which I’m willing to suffer for?
What am I so motivated, excited, interested in, or love that I’d be willing to suffer for it?
If I’m honest, I……. don’t know.
Jesus loves us so much, he has unquenchable patience with our hard hearted ways
Jesus loved us so much, he was willing to suffer the stings of the cross through his passion for us.
Grandma used to always tell us, “Only what you do for Christ will last.” Maybe that’s because what Christ did for us is all that matters – all that lasts. It all boils down to His perfect sacrifice. A passionate sacrifice given, not just to save our soul but to be a perfect model for our life?
Who are you suffering for? What are you dying to? What fruit is your pain bearing? Or are you just miserable for your own sake.
Find a way
That makes you want to give yourself away….
Then use the coveted weekend, to do just that. Who knows you may just find a life you don’t have to escape from every weekend.
I don’t know about you, but my weekend plans just changed 🙂 Get out there, the world is waiting for your light!
Be Blessed Y’all –
